- Congratulations to our own Ruth Gonzalez for winning first prize in the national competition hosted by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Committee of Conscience for her op-ed on the advice she would give to the next U.S. President on preventing and responding to threats of genocide and related crimes against humanity.
- Never Again Miami founder Ruth Gonzalez is currently planning on a Darfur photo gallery exhibit at her school in collaboration with "Humane Alternative" club. The event will take place in March. More details soon.
- Working with Darfurian human rights activist Adeeb Yousif, Never Again members in NYC developed the Rebel Letters campaign. This international grassroots peacebuilding campaign grew out of our work and friendship with Adeeb, whom we met in November 2006. The campaign team in NY is looking for local outreach focal points around the world. If interested, email outreach@rebelletters.org for opportunities. More info on the campaign to come.
- Members of the Rebel Letters campaign team Heddy Nam and Kelly Shannon, will be traveling to Washington, DC on April 14-15, 2007 to participate in a networking conference for leaders of the Darfuri diaspora taking place at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. On Sunday April 15, Heddy will present Never Again's work on Rebel Letters on a panel about peacebuilding alongside representatives from the Darfur Rehabilitation Project, Darfur Assessment Mission and Darfur Diaspora Association of East Africa, and the International Crisis Group. The event is being co-organized by International Refugee Rights Initiativeand Save Darfur Coalition.
- Socially Conscious NYC Happy Hour on Thursday April 19, 2007 at 6:30pm at Leela Lounge in downtown Manhattan. For more information about SO NYC, visit http://sociallyconsciousnyc.blogspot.com/
- On April 23, 2007 there will be a benefit for Darfur in NYC called "Where's Darfur: Artists in Action" which is being organized by three actors in New York working to make a difference for Darfur. The event will feature exciting performances from members of the cast of RENT and more. Proceeds from the performance will go to benefit humanitarian aid and advocacy efforts for Darfur. Never Again's Rebel Letters campaign will receive half the proceeds. More information about the event to come.
- Members in Miami set up a Never Again group, possibly our sunniest location so far. To get involved, go to http://neveragain.epov.org/Never_Again_Miami_network
- Network development in the US: we are looking to expand our network of young people in the US. Please contact Heddy or Marian if you live in the US and would like to join Never Again!

Priorities
Many of these priorities were identified during the Global Jigsaw Conversation (strategic planning) in July 2006. They were designed to shape our direction over the next calendar year and beyond. They have since and will continue to develop through conversation and as new opportunities arise.
