"The aim is to start with a virtually blank sheet of paper..."
Between now and February 2, we will be developing ideas for collaborative projects that can bring together ideas and focus our thinking on some of the major political, intellectual, social and economic themes that will impact on our work in the coming years.
While the discussions are intended to be wide-ranging, they will be focused clearly on exploring the implications of these developments for how we, both as individuals and as a network, can best contribute to achieving positive political change in the years ahead. We believe that, while drawing on successful previous examples, we should have a far-reaching rethink of the way politics of this sort is going to be conducted in future, what the determining/influential forces are likely to be, and where our efforts should be concentrated to achieve maximum impact.
The Kivu retreat/Virtual/Programme provides our starting point for introductory presentations and brainstorming, while on this page we will be starting to shape the ideas into collaborative essays or projects.
Remember that the most important thing is your ideas. If you are still getting to grips with Wiki editing, get your thoughts down on a blank page or new section rather than worrying too much about formatting. Other people on the wiki can help tidy up your work, or you can return to it later.
